Vincent van Gogh is rightly famous for his artistic achievements and his love of nature. He also penned numerous letters, one of them contains an anecdote that captures the idea behind this site namely (in my mother tongue) – “vindt maar mooi zooveel je kunt, de meesten vinden niet genoeg mooi” – which in English translates as –
“Find things beautiful as much as you can, most people find too little beautiful“.
About my site
During my nature photography adventures, I often rely on a rusty coloured beret to keep out the chill. It matches the head dress of one of my favorite birds, the tiny Australian Red-capped plover. They can sometimes be spotted by keen observers on quiet beaches and along waterways.

I established this site in order to share my interest in nature photography with family and friends. I reside mostly in Victoria and travel regularly to remote parts of the rugged Tasmanian NW Coast. Feedback is welcome.
